The Cathedral

Painted in 2000 on a pillar of the Charest boulevard in Québec city.

For the first one of the sery of murals called Les Fresques des Piliers, Helene Fleury gathered a group of ten young artists, aged between 16 and 20 years old. She was responsible for the teaching of the technics, the artistic direction, collecting the money and assuring the coordination. Fortunately, the artist Pierre Laforest joined her and she also had the help of the Maison Dauphine. After the Commission de la Capitale Nationale refused to sponsor the project, it is the program Development and Human Ressources that financed it. Thank you to them and to all the other partners who gave us their trust.
